Now, if you work out the economics of the whole thing you may realize that the cost per day of comfort would almost be the same in both the cases! Another factor that you are likely to ignore is that by buying some product of mass consumption that will last for the next ten years or more deprives you of the benefits of technological advancements that are bound to be there during such a long time. You can afford to change a relatively cheaper product more frequently, and thus continue to have a feel of technology with passing years. Add to that the thrill and excitement of having a new product at home at not too long intervals.

To understand what makes a certain brands more valuable than the rest and thus offer value for your money, you have to understand what goes into the making of a bed and compare those materials and the manufacturing techniques adopted by different manufacturers. You are expected to compare memory foam, air mattresses, spring pockets, water beds and adjustable bed technology used in recuperative sleeping physiotherapy, etc. After all a good part of the time you spend at home is on the mattress that helps you to relax and prepares you for the next day. A wrong choice would certainly make you life difficult if you are unable to get the much needed rest at the end of the day.

You might be considering, say an air bed without really knowing that a memory foam mattress could be more beneficial for your body. Remember that there is always a gradation of prices because of the materials used in production. Any springy material with a feel of cushioning designed to give comfort for a long time can’t be expected to cost low. Aiming for cheap is often a good option.
